Hey Everyone! So to catch you up on my week...
Sunday Night: Well I went to church with my sister at Hope. Well I drove myself, she got dropped off a little late. Church was good. When we left there we hurried to grab a bite to eat, because I had swing cats at 7:00pm. We got Chicken E. Then she brought me to Swing Cats. It's a group that meets once a week to learn swing dancing. Eventually we get real good, might do little shows, trips, etc. There were ALOT of people there. It was the second week and I missed last week, so when they first started in this line dance thing, I had NO IDEA what was going on. Then we got in girl and guy circles to rotate partners. The first guy I got was a jerk, gave me crap about my brace, and was mean! The rest of the guys were nice though. Keith is very sweet about letting me dance with all these guys, I feel bad, but Keith says not too and eventually I will get to teach him everything so WE can swing dance together. So we got into partner stuff, some steps I already knew, so it was really fun.
Monday: I don't really remember. haha. I had English, Math, U100, and Bible. English was VERE interesting. We watched a video about analyzing women in advertisments and what they say. It was..well yeah...interesting. In Math I did REALLY good on my test. In chapel we had this lady who came as a guest speaker, she was REALLY funny and spoke shortly about loving one another, spreading God's love to strangers, friends, enemies, peopel from different backgrounds, ect. That night we went to her lecture in Moody for an hour. You get 2 chapel credits. She was good. She went a little over and it was ALOT, but good. We had a follies meeting tonight. We ended up going a little over an hour. OMG it was crazy, I kind of feel like we overwhelmed the girls with too much choreography...and I think the other leaders were a little more agressive than they need to be, but we're ALL going to work on that. Afterward we had to have a directors meeting with the co-chairs of the event. Due to time, we have to combine our act with the other end of our hall, and we have a top limit of 3 minutes. OMG We had to cut SO much! We talked with the other directors and we're going to use our script...but it will hopefully go smooth. I'm worried the other two directors are feeling like we're better then them, but I don't want there to be "them" and "us", So hopefully we will do ok.
Tuesday: Today I had history, math, and psychology. History was interesting actually!!! We watched a movie about American coal mines and the life of the workers. It was real interesting, they had survivors talk and this one guy CRACKED ME UP! Math...bluh. Psychology, interesting but complicated. We're still on how the brain works and its very interesting, but very detailed and so thats harder. I ate lunch with Kate in the Library. Afterward we made our run to Wal-Mart and hung out a bit. She then went with me to an audition for a Follies Special Act. No, I did not make it, but thats OK. I grew SO much just trying out and I'm kind've glad. I got stressed just preparing, so its better that I don't have to worry about it anymore. I don't remember what else happened. MAN! I had planned on doing this so much better...sorry I'm low on details. I've been working out everyday. Doing pretty good on eating healthy. But I can't remember what I did this night. I know I did math homework and U100 paper. I of course talk to keith every night. We didn't talk ALOT this night, because he had to get up at 5:45AM to condition with Baseball people. WOWZERS! haha
Wednesday: My day started bright and early with English. Interesting story...I walk ALL the way to class...and when I get there I remember that we were meeting out by Jacob's Ladder, an incredible sculpture here on campus with a whole special surrounding of rocks and gardens. We had class there and a real neat assignment. We had to just go somewhere in the area and sit for 10 minutes observing. For homework we have to write half a page about how it was a heavenly place and then half a page on how it was NOT. It's very interesting to me to do these analyzations. I came back to my room and did some work for Love 2 Learn. I've been doing that alot too, trying to make some money. Then I went to math. We had a quiz and I did REALLY good on it, I got everything right. If you don't know, this is a big deal to me cause I HATE math and it's always been my biggest struggle. So this was awesome! After math I of course had Chapel. They've started a new chapel system, Tuesday through Thursday we do different stuff. Today we had a prayer session in Moody. Everyone goes, we sing, and you are motivated to pray alot, but theres also tables and faculty all over to lift up prayer requests. It was reallllly neat. Then I went to lunch with the gang at the Bean. We had a fun lunch. Left there to go to my room to work on some stuff. Then I left a little early for U100 to stop and say hi to Kate in the Library. U100 was awesome! We had a great discussion and people REALLY opened up and were honest about stuff and we all left with great thoughts in our minds. We ALWAYS get out late though, so I barely make it to Bible. I got there right when it started. Bible was good. We had some lecture, some INTERESTING discussion, a quiz that I did GREAT on, and it was nice. Left there to work in my room. I took a short nap. Then went to dinner with the gang. After dinner I came back to my room cause I had a big history test the next day. I got to talk to Keith quite a bit. It was really nice. Then I just worked in my room on a variety of stuff. I worked out and showered. Did more school and then slept. Before I got in bed though, I decorated our mirror and put up a banner because tomorrow was Kimber's birthday. It was fun.
Thursday (Today, barely): Today I got uplater than I intended. I got ready pretty rushed and went to history. Our teacher wasn't coming, it was just his daughter there to proctor our test over our chapter book we've been reading. OMG was it a long book. I did good on the test I think! There was only one question I wasn't sure about...so I'm glad. I got out by 8:15 and decided to check out the breakfast at the bean. I'm trying to eat healthy so biscuits and gravy or waffles were out of the question. I got this breakfast burrito, some fruit, and a bit of cereal. It was good! I came back to my room and worked on my math. I went to class at 9:30. Class was ok...I like it that I'm understanding it right now. I've got a test in about a week so I've some studying to do. Then I left from there back to my room and dropped off my books. Checked my e-mail and what not. THEN went to Chapel. We had seperate group chapels. I went to Social Justice Chapel with kate. It was really neat. I am real interested in Invisible Children, and other social justice groups. I left there, went to the Bean, and got a to go salad to meet Kate in the Library. We ate lunch there together. After I ate, I did some reading for psychology. Then I came back to my room to get everything I needed for class. Psychology was fun, we talked about sleep, dreams, and levels of consciousness. I found it so interesting. After that I left for my room. I took a NAP!!! OMG I loved it. Riane called me to go to Coldstone. We were getting an ice cream cake for our friend Amanda who also had a birthday today. When we got back I came to my room and did different work. At 6:30 we left for Riane's brothers house. He had us over and grilled burgers and stuff. It was fun. The cake was so good. It was funny because Amanda was like, hey do you guys want to go to Coldstone after this? We brought the cake out and I said, we brought coldstone to you! haha! We left shortly after. Tonight was visitation. The guys came back and we chilled in Amanda's and Riane's room. We watched DOUG! OMG thats so old schooled, brought back childhood memories! I came back and wrote this then went to my follies meeting. We had to teach the girls that joined our group from the other end of the hall. It went pretty good. OMG I am tired and have alot to do. I am coming home tomorrow...which is technically today now...so I need to go! I will write over the weekend! much love

The Swing Cats sounds awesome!! You hadn't mentioned that to me before! I love hearing about your classes and that you still see Kate pretty often. Sounds like you have a busy, well-rounded life going on there! It's great that you have a lot of good discussion in your classes. I have also found that to be such an interesting way to learn. I think understanding grows when you hear and consider different observations about the same event.
You have such an amazing concern for others. It is definitely one of God's gifts in you. It is coming to the fore in dealing with the dorm Follies routine and is evident in your every day actions with friends and family as well. Actually, you can tend to be overly sensitive to others. Just remember you can't fix everything!
As I mentioned to you in a text or email, while I am hugely proud of you for auditioning for another part in Follies, I admit to being relieved that you are going to be focusing on the dorm act. It is YOURS and you are going to need to play such a big part in preparing for that and making it work - especially with the addition of the other end of the hall. God is going to be able to use you to keep that fun for everyone.
It's good to hear what's going on with Keith and I'm really looking forward to seeing you both this weekend!!
